Woven by Ramavtar. Every Manchaha is woven with a unique story of its makers.
Ramavtar longed for the rivers and mountains far from his hometown in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. He often spoke of his desire to go to the mountains and bathe in the rivers, drawn to their beauty.
Ramavtar's Manchaha reflects the beautiful scenery imprinted in his mind. At the bottom of the rug, he wove two adjacent valleys, each adorned with hues of different colours, creating the impression of a vibrant, multicoloured valley. In the middle of the rug, he intricately wove gardens and wildflowers that nature grows without human intervention.
At the top of the rug, Ramavtar depicted the majestic mountains he loved, with clouds floating above them. Ramavtar named his Manchaha carpet 'Nadiyaan' (rivers) because he believes that in India, rivers are revered as mothers who nurture and sustain all life, binding the entire universe together with their sacred and unifying power.
