Woven by Beerbal and Yaadaram. Every Manchaha is woven with a unique story of its makers.
Titled 'Vadiyan', it is the dream of Beerbal and Yaadram, who wish to witness the breathtaking beauty of the Kashmir Valleys. Their Manchaha is divided into two parts by a diagonal break, symbolizing that there is beauty both on the ground and in the sky. The birds are the most prominent witnesses to the beauty of both these worlds; hence, the duo weaved birds in the middle of the rug.
In the bottom half of the rug, they used soft shades of wool and silk yarns to depict the water flowing through the valleys, while in the top half, they crafted the snowy mountains and the flowers that grow on them. Their hand-knotted rug captures the true magic of natural wonders and mesmerizing sceneries of the Kashmir Valleys - 'Vadiyan' meaning 'Valleys'.
