The Hali Story
For over 40 years Hali has brought quality, comfort and style to Australian homes.
In 1979, Ian Swart temporarily took over his father’s rug shop in South Yarra and was inspired by the beauty and artistry in handmade textiles. Buoyed by his newfound passion, he founded Hali a year later and within 15 years had established retail stores across the country.
Today the business is managed by his children Dan and Rebecca, who are fourth-generation of their family in the rug industry. Hali remains 100% family owned and operated.
With seven showrooms across Australia, Hali has beautiful handmade rugs to suit all budgets and styles. Our team’s experience resonates throughout an extensive range of products, all made to the highest level of craftsmanship.
From generations, for generations.
