Our Shabargan rugs are handknotted in the remote villages of North West Afghanistan by the Uzbek people. The Uzbeks are an Arab speaking Tribe which settled in the region during the late 16th century and are famous for their stunning textiles; often depicting intricate animal patterns and bright colours. Made from hand spun wool which is finely knotted on a cotton base and dyed using the age-old methods of natural and organic vegetable matter, these are timeless masterpieces.
