Inspired by Javanese Batik, a process of infusing ancient wax-resist dying techniques with ceremonial art, our Batik range gives a fresh and exciting approach to rug making. Hand knotted in Agra, India utilizing New Zealand Wool and a unique method of stress dying our yarn using copper pots, these rugs are awarded a special layered texture to best reflect the nature of traditional wax dyeing. These rugs provide a rich punch of colour and repeat motif to ensure their symmetry is consistent with the enigmatic Javanese blankets that have been prized for centuries. They are hard wearing and due to the nature of the premium wool and unqiue dying process they are also extremely easy to clean. Prices starting from $3,790.
