Jadui Gufa by Sahil and VP. Every Manchaha is woven with a unique story of its makers.
Magic works only for those who believe in it. Life is mysterious enough to have a little bit of magic in it. The weavers know that magic exists as they pick each yarn and weave every knot by themselves.
Sahil and VP decided to weave a cave—not just any cave, but a magical one. They arranged designs and colors to create an illusion that makes one question the reality of the cave. To enhance this illusion, they wove multiple shadows of the same design, causing the viewer to wonder what is real and what is not. The interplay of shadows adds a sense of depth and mystery, making the cave appear inviting and elusive. A cave of magic might sound skeptical, but all things beautiful are found in the dark.
They speak of how they thought of the name even before weaving, and so they weaved accordingly. They had fun challenging themselves with each pattern. The big design of 'Shakkarpara'(Indian sweet) at the center of the carpet is purposefully crooked as they wanted to make it unique. The silk and wool yarns have beautifully blended creating magic. Perhaps, a magic called Manchaha, the magic that lives in our artists.

When should I book a professional clean?
A general rule of thumb is every 12–18 months for a standard professional clean. Every 6–12 months if it’s in a high-traffic area (living room, hallway etc.) Every 2–3 years for low-traffic or decorative rugs.
How do I safely clean my Hali rug at home?
Depending on the fibers and knotting technique of your rug, your dealer should be able to give you clear advice on how to spot clean yourself and should also refer you to a cleaning professional if you happen to have a nasty accident.
What should I do if I notice loose fibres on my rug?
Do not pull them out as this can damage the weave and make it worse. Trim the loose fibres carefully using sharp scissors so they sit level with the surface. Vacuum gently on a low setting (no rotating brush) to keep fibres under control.
What cleaning products should I avoid
For Hali rugs, the biggest risk comes from harsh or overly wet cleaning methods rather than dirt itself. Its best to avoid bleach or whitening agents, strong alkaline cleaners (high pH), enzyme cleaners (in most cases), oxi/oxygen-based stain removers, dishwashing liquid or laundry detergent, anything with optical brighteners.
Is it normal for the rug to fade over time?
Gradual softening of colour over a few years, slight lightening in high-traffic areas and minor change in tone from sunlight exposure are all completely normal.
How should I maintain my Hali rug day-to-day to keep it looking its best?
Some day-to-day habits you can practice are vacuuming 1–2x per week using a low-suction setting and no rotating brush (this protects the fibres). Shake out smaller rugs when possible as this helps remove dust before it settles deep into the pile and keep shoes off where you can to reduce dirt, oils, and long-term wear.
