Rug Care

General Care

Fluffing

It is normal for new rugs to fluff as there can still be still loose fibres within the pile from the weaving and finishing processes. This should last no longer than 2-3 months.

    Bamboo Silk

    • Avoid scrubbing your rug when you are cleaning. Instead start with a damp towel and blot the area with the spill or stain.
    • If the stain is stubborn then use a soft hand brush and gently stroke in the direction of the pile while blotting every few strokes.
    • Try not to go in a circular motion
    • Use a hair dryer on cool setting to dry wet areas or use salt on the damp area then vacuum the following day

    • If spills occur blot immediately then spot clean with mild soap and cold water
    • Do not use oxygen cleaners on your silk fibres
    • For best results, periodic professional cleaning is recommended and encouraged to protect silk fibres
